So.. you're dissapointed apple didn't invent iphone 3g 2 years ago and in the same time worked around an agreement with gsm providers that could eventually be short circuited with a hack :) ? Thats an awful thing to be disspointed of :) - personally I'm ok with Apple. As long as nokia (or sony or motorla or whatever) will not make a decent phone with android, I'm all sold out to iPhone. I'm disappointed by the fact that you need hacks to use voip over 3G. And, in fact, all the restrictions for the software releases ...
