"Microblogging service Twitter is downgrading its service for users in the UK. Brits, who were previously limited to receiving 250 texts a week, will no longer be able to receive any updates by SMS. That's right, zero. In an email to users and blog post, Biz Stone says it's the money. "Even with a limit of 250 messages received per week, it could cost Twitter about $1,000 per user, per year to send SMS outside of Canada, India, or the US."
