"Adam,
I personally like .com as the premier domain, but for some reason I
find .info domains to have the same or better ring as .net, and even
feel like .net is a bad domain name.
It really depends on what kind of site it is, I think, ie:
CatToys.info
CatToys.net
The former looks like an information site, the latter looks like a
crappy dot-com bust." - Andrew Wise
"Jonathan,
I just got mine setup (finally) last night, it is great, although it's
a little confusing at first, let me know if you need help figuring it
out." - Andrew Wise
"We're probably going to see the same adblocking from chrome as well.
The people that want to block ads always will, it's stupid to fight
that." - Andrew Wise
"You can make a good amount of money from Adsense, especially running
it in remnant inventory. The way to really make money with Adsense is
through direct-placements, where advertisers buy a space on your site." - Andrew Wise
"Meg,
I like to take care of the low-hanging fruit first. The networks are
stingy, but they have the same goal as you. They want to sell
advertising, they need publishers. On the direct-side, the
relationship is a little more complex and thus not as easy to get
started.
Also, you should have a baseline value you provide, and you can
ascertain that from running on the networks, ie if you're making $1
eCPM on the networks, then a direct deal less than $1 eCPM is not
worth your time." - Andrew Wise
"Right now were mainly doing CPM simply because the cpc networks
require us to manually insert the campaigns as opposed to just using
ad tags.
So right now were almost 100% CPM and 3 months ago we were 100% cpc." - Andrew Wise
