"My friend Josh has his tongue split. It's not really that rare of a body-modification, but it does look pretty disgusting...and it's ridiculously bloody when you get it done." - Andrew Hite

"El Paso is a lot different than the rest of Texas. We're pretty much isolated from every other city in the state. The stereotypical "Texan" doesn't live in El Paso." - Andrew Hite

"Classes like that have always bothered me...not because I think they're wrong, but because I can't decide if I think they're wrong. There are some situations that call for generic classes like that, and I can't think of a better alternative. True, it makes redesigns more complicated, but if you have a bunch of images on a page that are going to have varied alignment, what should you call those classes? What class name would make more sense? This is an honest question - like I said, it's something that's been bothering me for a while." - Andrew Hite

"Separation of content and presentation is a big reason, but not the only reason we use CSS. There are a ton of advantages over other "alternative" methods, and I like to see those as all being reasons why I choose to use CSS." - Andrew Hite

"What's wrong with Times New Roman? It's a hell of a lot better than Courier New and Matisse. There's a reason it's the default - it's a readable, well designed font." - Andrew Hite

"I agree - Scary Movie was funny simply because it was something new, in the vein of Airplane and The Naked Gun. Scary Movie was poking fun at something that we all saw as pretty cheesy in the first place (the teen thriller flicks that were so "popular" in the late 90's), but now they're just grasping at straws. I made the mistake of renting Meet The Spartans a few weeks ago on a night that I wanted some brain-dead entertainment, and I regretted my decision for the whole ~15 minutes that I actually watched." - Andrew Hite

"The guy was actually taken out on a stretcher and had a pretty nasty concussion. The guy delivering that ridiculous kick is actually my friend's little brother, who goes to West Point now. They both have black-belts in about 3 different disciplines. It's pretty funny seeing that video on Digg. My friend showed it to me a few months ago." - Andrew Hite

"@sidzilla I'm not "tying my identity to a thing instead of who [I] actually [am]". I am a Mac user. I was a Windows user for years before I began using Apple products. I used Linux for a year before I switched to Mac. Whenever I get into a "Mac vs PC war", I don't argue about what's better and what's worse - I simply relate my experiences with the operating systems and state my *opinion* that OS X is "superior". All operating systems can be compromised - the difference is how fast the bugs and problems are addressed. Apple has a good history of releasing patches and fixes immediately after a bug is found, well before it can be exploited to it's full potential. Microsoft tends to lag a bit when it comes to that, and the bugs get exploited to the point that "patching" is more like "damage control"." - Andrew Hite
