"I've always said that I'm amazed that the terrorists haven't just snuck in shoulder-mounted grenade launchers, stood by the sidelines in Newark or elsewhere, and taken shots at the airplanes as they take off." - Annie

"Has anyone besides me noticed the fishy bidding history? The bidding up to $900 was done by fully registered bidders who have been eBay bidders for several years, and they *end* at 4:41 PDT. Then the bidding gets jacked waaaay up in a volley of bids by 2 additional *brand new* bidders - bidders who have only just signed up with eBay recently, starting nearly *6 hours* later, jumping the bid from $900 to over $4k in the space of just a few hours. Pretty fishy, if you ask me. But fishier still is that "Bidder 15" basically kept outbidding *himself* to jack the prices up: Bidder 14 US $4,050.00 Jun-29-07 18:38:51 PDT View Bidder 15 US $4,000.00 Jun-29-07 22:30:08 PDT View Bidder 15 US $2,500.00 Jun-29-07 22:29:56 PDT View Bidder 15 US $1,800.00 Jun-29-07 22:29:47 PDT View Bidder 15 US $1,400.00 Jun-29-07 22:29:33 PDT View" - Annie

"Desparate? Umm...no. Except desparate to figure out *how* to delete it where I accidentally posted it to the wrong section (do you know?) How is spam non-techy? I thought that this novel new way of gaming the Paypal system to spam people - kind of like the Nigerian 419 spam, only with a twist (not anything actually fraudulant about it if he really is using it to pay a traffic fine), was very apropos. Is spam not a techy subject?" - Annie

"Yes..but they are suing based on a law which requires pharmacies to carry "commonly prescribed" drugs. If there are 32,000 rape related pregnancies across the entire 50 states, how commonly do you think the morning after pill is prescribed in Massachusetts? Even if Massachusetts accounts for a 10th of all prescriptions, which would be wildly out of wack with it's population:total-US-population ratio, that's only a few thousand prescriptions across the state. That's hardly "commonly prescribed, methinks." - Annie
