definitely nsfw ... :[ ... - Brandon
kinda close to nsfw, but i guess it is just barely safe. and pretty f'ing gross. - Morgan Haley
i wonder what it was that caused you to block my brother when you are posting stuff like this? - Morgan Haley
gold! - martin ollman
Brandon, no nudity, and porn as a word doesn't constitute NSFW ;-) - Duncan Riley
Morgan, who is your brother, and what are you talking about? - Duncan Riley
Time to have "hide" on "me + Friends" page!!! :P - BeeLing
just wondering why he was blocked. - Morgan Haley
HAHAHA. Wow. I'm definitely amused! Why do I find this kind of shit so humorous? Oh yeah, it's like 3:30am. - Jonathan Hardesty
Morgan, for comments unbecoming on a post on my stream. I respect that not everyone likes everything, but going me on a service called "FRIEND" feed...well, no one is forcing anyone to read this. People who find it necessary to attack others on FF instead of unsubscribing from the content can get fucked ;-) Nothing personal, I'm blocking maybe 6-12 a week at the moment - Duncan Riley
you were attacked? - Morgan Haley
Morgan, If I call correctly, a nasty comment was left, yes. Uncalled for and out of the blue. Again: no issues that not everyone likes every thing, but the solution isn't to be nasty, if you don't like enough of it, unsubscribe. Again, this is FRIEND feed, if you don't like me, don't read my stuff, simple. Unlike some I don't give a rats about no. of subscribers. I appreciate everyone, but I'm not trying to win a competition either. - Duncan Riley
didn't know there was something nasty left about your stuff or about you. but it sounds like you took it as pretty offensive, which is your call for sure. i'm not too expert on what you mean by no. of subscribers or a contest, but doesn't matter i guess. sorry that there is friction between FF'ers over this kind of thing. oh, what happened to your small dick comment? did you delete that? - Morgan Haley
Morgan, only point I'd make: difference between disagreeing and just having a go. Nothing better than a good argument, but the comment for memory wasn't close. As I mentioned: tired of the bs now, simply banning regularly. It is after all friendfeed ;-) - Duncan Riley
Those yellow curtains are the really NSFW, LOL - George The Writer
ok, not sure i follow what you are saying but i'm sure you believe you are correct in what you believe and i'm sure i don't really give a shit either way. but you have some cool posts (other than this icky one :-) ) so i'll keep following you unless you decide i'm a small-dicked, non-friendly attacker like my brother - Morgan Haley
Morgan, unless there's something you're not telling me about what lies between your legs...... ;-) - Duncan Riley
i don't discuss my crotch with other guys, sorry. but maybe if your mom wants to jump online, i'll discuss it with her. - Morgan Haley
Morgan, is there irony in the fact that I can't subscribe to your feed because it's private? - Duncan Riley

- ropiku

an amusing and somewhat educational read - Jeremy Zawodny
"They aren’t attracted to the field of computing because of the money (though that doesn’t hurt) but are terrified of getting stuck in a job where there’s nothing left to learn. People in other careers speak of a “seven year itch” phenomenon, but these guys have a “two year itch.” These guys will change jobs not so much to get a raise… but to keep from getting bored." PEGGED it!! - Good ol' Lindsay
"The thing is, most people really never think. At least, the concept of what thinking is to this programmer is radically different from that of “regular” people. Most people just go to work, do the same old thing, and go home. When they leave work, they leave work at work and go do something totally different. Our programmer guy can’t seem to *stop* thinking. If he’s trying to solve something difficult, he will not stop as long as he’s inspired." - I feel so exposed. :) - Good ol' Lindsay
"To most people, “it’s just words”… but this guy spends so much time in his own head, he doesn’t really differentiate between ideas and reality. Ideas *are* reality to this guy!" - Last quote... I LOVE this article! - Good ol' Lindsay
is it really helpful to create these imaginary people and regard them as real -- in marketing, serial killer profiling, or programming? or are we just over-generalizing and ignoring when the model breaks. - Whitney Sorenson

I watched this talk when it was first released and by fall last year wondered why Cliff Click's data structure hadn't seen inclusion to the jdk or at least wider adoption. I asked jjb during one of our weekly concurrency meetings and learned that some unexpected problems had crept up in the meantime. - Mustafa K. Isik
I watched this talk twice by video and once live at JavaOne. I still didn't understand one component until speaking with Cliff at the conclusion of his live talk. I'm not surprised it's not yet part of the JDK; I suspect it requires a significant acceptance prior to its inclusion, given that it's so new. Of course, I don't claim to understand JCP, nor have I followed updates to this hash map since J1 '07. - Robert Konigsberg
