Seems like it was not that long ago that they were denying global warming existed and claiming that conquering oil was the way to go. - Clare Dibble
Not that long ago? I wasn't aware that the Republican party was accepting AGW yet; certainly "drill here, drill now" isn't going to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, though it presumably might slow the growth of oil imports. - Jim Norris
I saw talk of green jobs, "clean" coal, and alternative fuel sources including hydrogen. Just because I am not convinced that any of those are actually green doesn't mean I don't think it is interesting that for one of the first times I can remember, the republicans are paying lip service to the dems' platform and not the other way around. - Clare Dibble
