Some of the worst spots are busy hubs for commuters and shoppers, including the areas around the 12th Street BART station in downtown Oakland, and San Francisco shopping districts at Fifth and Market streets and the Metreon at Fourth and Mission streets..." - Mike Doeff

I know this sucks. People are getting more daring in these desperate times. I'm near 19th street BART station anf there's been a number of hold ups at ATMs and purse snatchings in the surrounding blocks. - Larry Kless
