The problem with the ads isn't whether they piss anyone off or not, ads within communications services do notoriously lousy and advertisers are kinda "eh" on paying much for them. This doesn't mean Twitter won't be bought for a lot of money though! As for YouTube -- it's still not clear what the business model is! It's a great service, and I'm glad GOOG is footing the bandwidth and hosting, but it's no cash cow for them - Robert Seidman
Yep - total tech blog speculation, but I think if a larger company wanted to look like they "get" web 2.0 they'll have a go at Twitter. Even if it makes little sense on paper. - Jason Kaneshiro
