I congratulate MG Siegler cause this is one of those topics which are hard to put into words, and he managed it. Ars does this sometimes, yes. I see certain occurences of similar practices on many sites, however; it's hard to draw a clear line here. - Stan Schroeder

Thanks for the extremely well informed write up Mathew. In my experience writing for Ars Technica, I've seen first hand just how seriously the editorial staff takes attribution. Naturally, these allegations of impropriety are very troubling to me and I'm sure the rest of our staff. I can tell you with all assuredness that the site takes special care to attribute original works with exactly where we got our information. Even the post in question in all of this, is properly attributed. - Clint Ecker
Thanks Stan. Nice canned response Clint. - MG Siegler
There's nothing canned about it, MG. It's my honest and unfiltered opinion. Seriously. I'm going to be in SF (I think you're moving there soon, right)? Between June 8-11 I'm going to be out there for WWDC. We should meet up for lunch or you could come to our party we're throwing (http://upcoming.yahoo.com/even...). I'd really like to meet up and put some faces to each other. What do you think? - Clint Ecker
@Clint - yes, I'll be there for good hopefully as soon as tomorrow. I'm certainly open to meeting up. - MG Siegler
