"***Comment by Barney removed***
Barney, you had your comment, which I left here on display. I have removed your second comment however for two reasons. You are repeating stuff you linked to in the first comment. Also, the state of the PUB and it's current total of one campaign issue tells me you are out on a mission. And I'm afraid I didn't put my blog up others to troll on." - Gary
"Long comments are just fine! I did guess something was up with Barney. Such is life. The proof is in the pudding though, as the saying goes, and as far as I'm concerned Lijit works for me very nicely indeed." - Gary
"Brian, thanks for your comment. I do think you need to expand your PUB concept though. A union of one is not much of a union, and in it's 8 months or so of existence has produced only two posts, both about Lijit. Some could conclude that you simply have a gripe with Lijit!
I have come across a complaint regards Lijit from a top tech blogger though, that being the display of a Google ad on the widget itself after using the 'Re-Search' facility. The complaint being that the T's didn't mention this. A minor point as far as I'm concerned, and easily solved by turning off 'Re-Search'." - Gary
"Small chunks is what I've been doing, but they all add up to a pretty big chunk! I gotta have that Ploughmans fast whilst there is still time!" - Gary
"Actually I should write down the details, for my own records as well as sharing! The exact instructions I have been given are...
Cevca de la Esquina de Av Coyoacan y Romero de Terreros, la tienda se llama Capriccio, esta enfrente del mercado de la del Valle.
My wife knows where it is, so if more details are needed let me know!" - Gary
"That's a cunning plan Steve. With knighthoods and titles, the prize is in the wording and no extra material gift will be expected!
I just have to decide how to eat my cheese now! At 300 pesos for 300 grams, it ain't cheap and if I want more I have to order it six months in advance. So I can't be wasting it on pizza! I'm thinking a nice Cheese Ploughmans would be a good idea..." - Gary
"They do have that, I'll grant you! I use MyBlogLog for stats but I don't really pay them an awful lot of attention. A few more commentators (or commenters?) would be nice though!" - Gary
"You know I did give that some thought, and I was careful to point out that my opinions are changeable and meaningless! And it also has to be said that I don't quite have the following you do, so there's not so many people out there to be irked!
Actually that's why I used to use Blogger's Blog List. That way every blog I subscribe to was technically in my blog roll, but only the most recent 10 posters were listed. Keep everyone happy! But it looked untidy." - Gary
"I'm pretty sure I sounded very false and lacklustre at times, but when you earn pesos that cash is even more valuable! I know, I have no morals! Actually I honestly believe anyone ordering pills or cheap watches off the net is just plain dumb. Such is life. It sounds mean I know, but that money has really made my year!" - Gary
"I am not massively concerned I guess about losing my money for ever. I'd be more concerned with having any difficulty at getting at it. But I do remember my study of the last big banking crisis here in Mexico when it wasn't just the banks that needed bailing out - $50billion was needed from the US govt." - Gary
"Funnily enough I was watching an old (like early 1980's) QED documentary on how to build a nuclear shelter in your garden the other day! Bit over the top, but I did think there must be a few banking executives hoping a big 8ft hole in the ground swallowed them up." - Gary
"You wouldn't go back for the football?!?!?! Blasphemer!!!!!! :) I have to say I will try and be back in the UK for the London Olympics in 2012. But I don't yet know when I'll get to return. I haven't seen Old Blighty in nearly four years now!
Well I look forward to seeing those snaps when you find them!" - Gary
"It was cold! Very cold. Well for Mexico anyway. For someone living in London? A normal wintery morning! There was a few spots of ice, but really very few. And the views were phenomenal. To be honest, no photo can ever do justice to reality." - Gary
"Thanks Kim! I think I get a few nice shots now and again, but I work on the numbers principle. Just keep shooting over and over again, and you get lucky sooner or later!" - Gary
"Getting a puppy off the street was plain dumb. It wasn't something I figured out later either...just something that was confirmed. Does she know of any Chihuahua puppies needing a home? Anything bigger would be jumping into the turtles pond!" - Gary
"Very sad. And this is the last time we call a puppy Rupert. We bought one a few years ago, from a more respectable source it has to be said, but with the same ending as well as the same name. They do say three times lucky, but I'm not going to push it!" - Gary
"Paola is heartbroken, because she was the one at home holding the poor thing while it deteriorated and then died. I was up a mountain. A sad story really, not least because of how we came to have him. Heart overuling the head. We'd been thinking of getting a puppy for a few weeks, and then we came across this one. With others. In a bag around the neck of a guy selling them in the street. We knew we shouldn't, but he looked so helpless and in need of a home....you know how it goes.
The consolation is that he had one day of care and attention. You don't want to imagine how his last hours would have been if he'd still been in the possession of the seller." - Gary
"I have to say it wasn't a perfect photo by any means. But sometimes, with a few filters, I find that the imperfections (noise and resolution in this case) the photo works.
Glad I have at least one follower on that blog though!" - Gary
