"I think I'm finally getting what you are trying to say. The "t" parameter is for slugs. We make a distinction between posts and threads, so what you really want to do is pass your thread_identifier to the embed reply, correct? I can add a parameter so that the embed reply can accept a thread_identifier if that's what you need." - Jason Yan

"That's good to hear. If you do the import again, we should be able to grab those comments that were made when Disqus was off for you. That is a strange scenario, but I'll try playing with ecto to see if I can reproduce the issue." - Jason Yan

"Thanks for the feedback. The reason for the different values in your example is because the URLs are not escaped, though when they are passed to get_num_replies, they are escaped. The result of this is the rest of the URL after the hash is not passed along to the server. We ignore the anchors on our side, so it should result in the same values. Hence, http://disqus.com/forums/kcrw/...... should give you the same result as the second link you posted." - Jason Yan

"We use the $entry->permalink() for the disqus_url. Right now there isn't a way to hook into this without manually modifying the plugin to add your own logic. If it is a simple URL change, I can handle this for you." - Jason Yan
