“*Like* if you like the new Google Reader better”

I liked both because the new design is much sleeker and refined than the old one. - Mattie Kenny
I must say I am liking the new look. - (jeff)isageek
I can't decide - Pinksy
Clean, simple, the Google trademarks. (It's also looking a lot like Zoho) - Gary Burge
I think I prefer the new look, seems cleaner. - Robert Nelson
Needs a few Greasemonkey tweaks but overall it's better. - richrecruiter
looks cleaner but less usable to quickly scan things, due to the far lower contrast (no more blue highlight and menu background). Everything blends together on my screen. Will get used to it, i guess. The typography does not look harmonious, they ought to tweak font sizes and spacing a bit. - Joelle Nebbe
too much white! I would have loved to see it go in a different direction. - vijay
i got confused. i meant to like this one. looks cleaner for sure. i LOVE helvetireader script though. it kills - Cee Bee
+1 for Helvetireader! Lots of space and clean to the max. - vijay
I haven't seen the new gReader.. but you know what still looks gorgeous? Feedly. ;) - Phil Glockner
I don't like it yet. It feels sharp and poorly spaced. But I'll get used to it. - Glen Turpin
I like it. If you were new to reader this would be an easier interface to use, IMO. - Clay Newton
Me like, very sleek. - Kol Tregaskes
pretty much the only reason i use google reader instead of another web service is that it used to be fast (not anymore) and the social feed websites integrate with it. - Joelle Nebbe
It's too early to tell, Sarah. It does look -- *brighter* - Jorge Escobar
I like it, just hope a redesign means that they bring in themes. - Zach Chisholm
Any idea how to decollapse the navigation pane back again? I don't say a way to undo the evil that I did. - todd
I was expecting something drastic so I'm a little disappointed. Seems like more of the same with a little cleanup. Nothing offensive and certainly no major changes that make it bad. - Kenton
I'm inclined to say that the new Google Reader is much superior to the old GR. - Jamelle
Love the feature upgrades, style is a little stark for me. - Kamath ॐ
Disagree. I was so used to the previous version. But that's because I live there. - Louis Gray
I actually didn't like it when I signed in after getting home. Perhaps I was far too used to the previous look? It's practically always open in another tab. But I'm getting used to it, and it's not too bad.. - deepikaur
I like it, but I want to hide the "Friends shared items" from the sidebar. That's the one feature I don't use. - Larry Hudson
Like, but I also want to see which blogs you put in the B, C, and D-list, Sarah. :) - Matt Cutts
Looks sweet, but appears to show less articles on the screen at once. - Mike Reynolds
like the new google reader and i like sarah too - Zee.
Haven't seen it yet, as I use Feedly. - Grant Bierman
I like that I can now find the "Add Subscription" button without scouring the left-hand pane for 5 minutes - Craig Eddy
Still using Google Reader with http://helvetireader - Mark Bean
schweeet! ♥ it! - AJ Batac (ninJA)
@Mark - very cool link. Thanks! - Phil Glockner
no like. I'm a change resistant old man - Threepwood
It's seems much snappier! - Pras Sarkar
Works for me. An improvement. - Sean McBride
I think I can definitely get used to it. - Deborah Fitchett
Oh I remember Google Reader. That thing I gave up around 7 months ago or so when FriendFeed came on the scene. - Thomas Hawk
me like! :) - matthew hunt
Some things are better. Two things I don't like is that the font size in the feed panel on the left seems to have doubled, and sometimes keyboard shortcuts don't work. - Tanath
liek it, but it looks weird with Helvetireader now - and that was soooo nice... well, hope for a Helvetireader and Better GReader greasemonkey updates now. - Peter Efland

The last one I got (SD950) is just a bit too big for me, so I'm planning to get a smaller / less capable one the next time I buy a camera. - Amit Patel
do you like the sd950? i was thinking about buying it. - Jess Lee
The SD950 is fine except that it's slightly too big to fit comfortably into my pocket. I would've been better off with something smaller that I have with me all the time than with the SD950, which I mostly got for the larger sensor size. The one Paul's looking at (SD880) looks nice. - Amit Patel
The gold one (second from right) is an 880. So far, I think it's the best, though they just arrived today. - Paul Buchheit
The Olympus lines are getting smaller, and I love it. - Amit Morson
The 880 actually looks a little big as well. Might be a deal-breaker for me. But it's such a great camera otherwise. Sigh... - Jake

"He looked so distinguished and was so free with the bubbly that the Café Pierre crowd, Landis included, at first had him pegged as one of the “owners”—the tycoons who actually live at the Pierre in stupendously high-end co-op apartments. The Café Pierre was way off about Joe, or so it decided after some probing. If no one was brave enough to ask him where he lived, quite a few people asked him what he did for a living. Holding his glass of champagne by the stem, Joe would say simply, “I sell potato peelers.” The probers had a good chuckle over that. “Right,” they all said. “Now pull the other one.”" - Paul Buchheit via Bookmarklet

yesssss. goodbye, Azureus, hello uTorrent! - Phil Glockner
On the Mac, I've been using Transmission but on my Vista machines, it's been μTorrent. I'm interested to see how it stacks up in Leopard. - Akiva Moskovitz
slick, but not quite as lick'able as Xtorrent. - Bill Strathearn
I have to say that on a PC I've never had any problem with Azureus (now Vuze). - Ian May
Azureus just got bigger, slower, more unstable. I finally tried uTorrent and wow, I actually like getting torrents again! Azureus/Vuze is a pig. - Chris Lamprecht
Big time bloated oinky for Azureus -- used to love it though. No need for all the memory hoggedness. Just use utorrent, and you can't go wrong. The RSS feeds work pretty well too. - Pete Delucchi
Isn't Azureus Java? - Akiva Moskovitz
So how does uTorrent compare to Transmission? - Paul Grav
Haven't ever had a problem with Transmission, so doubt i'll try uTorrent - Chris Dahl
Just tried out; Transmission and uTorrent seem to be of equal quality and have similar features -- both feel lightweight. - Olivier Tharan
it's been there online for a while now, check my above bookmark for further P2P clients which go beyond utorrent limitations - sofarsoshawn
I have never had a problem with Azureus/Vuse. But then again, it's not like I run it on my old P1. - April Russo
wow there is a post on computer software that i have actually been shown how to use!! i have just downloaded Juno and Kidulthood on here - Stephanie Pickett
uTorrent for Windows rocks. Some of the uTorrent user community was concerned about DRM restrictions being put into the client after uTorrent was bought by BitTorrent (known to be friendly with the MPAA) but so far that hasn't happened. - Jess Lee
use PeerGuardian for Win and feel free... ;) - Kemal Yaylali
The sad part, not much cracked software out there to get! - Igor The Troll
Why would you use this closed source thing when you could be free and clear with Transmission? - Patrick Jones
Another argument in favour of Transmission: the window adapts its size so it takes less real estate, and the icon badge can display the current upload and download rates. - Olivier Tharan

Newsarama.com : Actress Goes Through Transformation on 'True Blood'
November 8 at 8:41 pm - via Bookmarklet - Link
"From ordinary folks to the upper crust and all those in between, many a fictional Southerner’s story has been brought to life over the years on the small screen. In HBO TV’s new hit series True Blood, which is based on the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, humans live side-by-side with vampires in the imaginary small Louisiana town of Bon Temps. Thanks to the creation by a Japanese scientist of synthetic blood (or TruBlood), these toothy townsfolk no longer need to feed on their fellow residents. Still, not everyone is comfortable having such creatures on their doorstep. Among those with reservations about such unusual living arrangements is local waitress Arlene Fowler." - RAPatton via Bookmarklet
“As far as Lost, my husband Michael Emerson had been on the program for a bit, and when he became a series regular I said to him, ‘When we see your [character’s] flashback I’d love to play his Mom. Wouldn’t that be so creepy and funny, and I bet the fans would love it.’ The producers had wanted to bring me on the show in some capacity, and as kind of a joke, Michael just mentioned to them what I’d said. Before I knew it, I was lying in the jungle and giving birth to him, or should I say his character of Ben. It was that fast, and really fun as well as exciting. I liked being part of the series and playing someone connected to Michael’s character as opposed to some random individual. That was quite special.” - RAPatton
Wow- I wouldn't have recognized her as Arlene from the photo above. She's so much prettier as herself! (And as to her having played her husband's mother- um, weird.) - Abby Martin
