Post by Michael Fruchter: http://www.friendfeed.com/fruc... - Louis Gray
Whoot I was wondering when this was going to come out thinking a new list was missing. Thanks! r/d - Dan Morrill
already following several of them, cool people indeed :) - Niki Costantini
Interesting--though I had already subscribed to a number of these feeds --I had seen enough of these people's content--I thought I was already subscribed to all of them. - Rob Michael
Thanks for the list, Louis! :) Subscribed to those few not already on my list.. - Jemm
I really do like these lists but can we start including some non-tech people to better reflect the growing demographic and diversity of the community? - Mathew A. Koeneker
@Matthew That sounds great! I'm kind of new: Who do you have in mind? - Rob Michael
and I thought I had suddenly said something really clever :) Thank you for the shout, Mike and Louis. You are both good, active listeners and that brings great value to your community. - Valeria Maltoni
good list! :-) - Live4Soccer
Very good list. Thanks for posting this. - Spencer
as always I find a few new people to add each month. thanks for the list. - (jeff)isageek
I am going to follow all of them right now, is this a regular feature on a monthly basis, I wonder if more bloggers will contributing to crowdsourcing some people to follow on Friendfeed, will be pretty exciting if they do. Mention links to people who already do! - Josh Chandler
I am totally *blushing* right now. Thanks Mike & Louis! - AJ Batac
AJ, I was delighted to see you on that list, you're content stream in FF always keep me entertained and informed! - Josh Chandler
@Josh, I originally started these lists back in July of 08. I have since joined forces with Louis to make this a monthly FriendFeed feature. - Mike Fruchter
Mike, I will certainly be looking for these more often then, I am very disapointed I missed out thus far :( - Josh Chandler
Josh, no worries. You can find the previous lists for July, September, November and December on the blog post :) - Mike Fruchter
Just doing that now! - Josh Chandler
Mo Kargas is definitely someone to follow :) - Lindsey in Love
@Rob Michael Sorry for the delay in response. Being just a relative noob myself, I was thinking of a cyclical list that perhaps spotlights different fields of interest. My logic being that it would help new folks get more engaged and allow those non techies to have some more interesting people to subscribe to. I can do a list but I am afraid that I like all of you and am not "A-List" enough for it to really reach people. - Mathew A. Koeneker
Again, thank you Louis/Mike for the mention!! Gosh!! :-D - Kol Tregaskes
One day I'll be on one of these lists. Hopefully before the end of the year. - Chris Charabaruk for Hire
One day, I might be interesting enough to be on one of these lists. Actually, I've already been on one, just not a top 10 list though. - xero
@Xero, don't worry there is another 11 months left of the year to go :) - Mike Fruchter
In trying to be fair, this is going to be a monthly thing. I would love to highlight everyone on one list, it's just not feasible. - Mike Fruchter
I just can't believe I get a mention... ever. :-) - Kol Tregaskes
Thanks for including me on your list Mike. My inbox is filling up with new FriendFeed subscribers. I don't think Mike would be offended if everyone else starts creating their own FriendFeed lists - especially those for specific interests. He helped spread the word when I posted that we all have a FriendFeed Top Ten Friends Challenge at http://www.growmap.com/friendf.... - Internet Strategist
What FriendFeed REALLY needs is tags but until then we can either create niche lists by subject or create FriendFeed accounts for specific interests. For example, http://friendfeed.com/execgift... shares information of interest to event and wedding planners and about business gifts. If you don't know how to create a niche list tell me the niche and I'll create a list and post how I did it. - Internet Strategist
Internet Strategist, thank you. I would not be offended at all, quite the opposite as you know. I was happy to plant a seed. What would make me even more happier is watching that seed grow and evolve into something even bigger. You are a big part of the growing phase, and I would hope more people contribute to it as well :) - Mike Fruchter
I love that everyone on FriendFeed gets something different. So I don't want to follow the people that “everyone” is following. If everyone followed the same people we'd end up with something like Digg or Reddit. - Amit Patel
Lou Chyper is from Jakarta and I don't know him?? Thanks for the post.. - Pico Seno
I am thorougly flattered to be on this list. Thankyou Louis and Mike, and a big welcome to all Friendfeeders new and old. You all honor me with your patronage and I will definitely reciprocate very soon. - Mo Kargas
@Mathew - I am a non tech person :) - Valeria Maltoni
Cool and I have subscribed. ;-) - Mathew A. Koeneker
mo/kol, well deserved! - cjmart
Congrads MO! I will have to add these people to my friendfeed. Especially greasemonkey coders :) - Shawn aka ringking
thanks for the list. - Gregg
@Amit and Valeria - That everyone has different interests is precisely why I offered to show others how to find those who are interested in what you most want to know about. If someone volunteers what their passion is I can research and post who else has that interest and how I found them. Wouldn't it be helpful for someone new to FF to find others who love what they love? - execgifts

"Thomas, appreciate your taking the time to chronicle this event and share it. The video I've seen is very troubling, and the rioters have every right to be angry, it seems. Their reactions, as with many previous incidents, will serve to further hurt the community, which is very unfortunate. You are lucky you were safe and your things were safe as well. A very sad episode once again in the East Bay." - Louis Gray

Very cute - how old are they? - Judith Germain
@Judith think we were told they just turned 6 months - Jay Martinez
We're trying to get Travis to eat some solids (rice cereal) at 4 months but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of a spoon. Maybe that's because there is no spoon. - Sally Robinson
Spoons freaked my daughter out and she would have no part of one in her mouth until she was old enough to feed herself with it. I had to use something like this with her: http://www.amazon.com/Sassy-Ba... - April Russo

I couldn't agree more. There's no excuse for it in 2009 to be brutally honest. So many services who tout web 2.0 really need to pick their game up. - Mo Kargas
i like the idea of "brutally fun"... as if to say being brutally honest is addictive in a good way. sounds a lot like a hockey game. - Courtney Engle
I've taken to manually pinging FeedBurner each time I post to my blog. On the other hand, for most services I have linked to FriendFeed, I have to tell it to update each service I use manually, since it seems to take forever (and under the CES traffic crunch, things are only worse). - Chris Charabaruk for Hire
I ping FeedBurner when I post as well, and then refresh the site here manually on FriendFeed to make sure it gets through. - Louis Gray
That Feedburner experience sounds woeful. Is Scoble's real-time web conference on? - Hutch Carpenter
Yes I'm all for "The Power of Now". Well actually, that was a book about something else. But still. - Paola
It's not just Feedburner. If I want something to appear in my FriendFeed RIGHT NOW, I almost always have to do a manual refresh, and sometimes even that doesn't work. But an argument can be made that updates to FriendFeed aren't as important as, say, stock trades. - Ontario Emperor via fftogo
Louis, I know you're familiar with marketing requirements. So let me ask this question - assuming that one uses FriendFeed for personal purposes, what is the MAXIMUM amount of time to elapse between the time an item is created on some service (Blogger, YouTube, whatever), and the time that item appears on FriendFeed? And, how was this maximum time derived? - Ontario Emperor via fftogo
Ontario? The maximum acceptable time? For Twitter, no delay. Blog posts... almost no delay. But I'd assume Flickr, Smugmug and other less-instant items could wait minutes. Disqus comments for instance are very fast now and don't need to get any quicker, in my opinion. The #1 issue I have with Smugmug right now is that it actually syncs "too fast", meaning the first rev of comments and likes tends to get wiped out when the set of photos is final. FriendFeed does a good job now, but the bar is very high. - Louis Gray
There's part of me that wants everything to appear within 1 minute. But do I need it? I can argue that ANYTHING - blog post, tweet, Disqus comment, Flickr picture, YouTube video, last.fm song, whatever - can spark a conversation, so can one argue that some types of items are less critical? - Ontario Emperor via fftogo
I'm pretty sure financial companies have the delay not because they're behind the times technology wise -but because they stand to make a mint in late fees an interest holding on to money even for an extra day. Every credit card I pay online charges an extra fee for "right now" bill pay. Otherwise it's wait at least 1 business day - Jason Kaneshiro

i started using bit.ly when i realised i could use it to track the clicks on the links i post. it's really a very nice feature. - Scot Mcphee
I've been using tr.im for months now b/c it offers click stats and it is super short. Any advantages to bit.ly? - tsudohnimh
Well, bit.ly is supported by TweetDeck, which tr.im isn't. - Chris Charabaruk for Hire
But don't you have to login to bit.ly and then create the bit.ly URL to enable the statistics? So just selecting bitly from dropdown menu I couldn't check stats. Am I right? - tsudohnimh
