India is beside the point. We have people tell us our quote is too high, then have the secretary's son do the work. Then they come back to us because they like our package layout and can't reproduce it and the work quality sucks. - Anika Malone

“The hubs is getting our child a wii! [WHEE for me too.] Would any of you be kind enough to recommend games that would be good for a VERY energetic girl of 4?”
3 hours ago - Link
The Wii Sport games that come with it should be a very good start, they're quite physical. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
the Rayman Raving Rabbids games are pretty frantic... Wii Music is perfect for kids, as they don't have to really do anything except wave the controllers around wildly and they make music - boxing on Wii Sports is probably a safe bet too, as they can just go crazy - Nathan Chase
Thanks guys! - Abby Martin
Sonic vs Mario: Beijing Version - Shevonne Polastre
Yeah...we need one of those too. - Tutivillus Grift
My daughter is 5 now, been playing the Wii since she was 3. She likes Wii Sports and the Wii Fit game. She can sort of play Super Wario World, but doesn't have the patience for some of the harder games. Mario Cart, both her and the 3 year old play (poorly). - Anika Malone
Both my girls (ages 3 and 6) like Wii Fit, particularly the Hula Hoop and Jogging games. - Grant Fitzgerald

The Wii Play games (comes packaged with a second remote) have some that are easier for kids. The cow racing is our particular favorite =D - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)

“In Manitoba, Canada - we hold the door for the next person. The next person will usually say "Thank you" and will do the same thing for the next one. Do you do that?”
4 hours ago - Link
I always hold the door. Especially in bad weather. I hold elevators, too. And I say thanks when people hold 'em for me. - Ninth
Ninth, that's nice of you. - AJ Batac
In Toronto, Canada, I do. - Shey
Never been at Toronto Shey. Will be visiting next year to see my sis. ;) - AJ Batac
I sometimes hold the door open, no one in LA knows how to say 'thank you' except me and my family it seems. To make it worse, my husband will open the door for us, then all of a sudden 200 more people decide they need to go through *that* door and not any of the other doors. When I see that happen to others, I usually take over the door. Other people, not so much. But people in LA sometimes will hold the door open for you and look shocked when you say thank you. For all around rudeness on both sides, San Francisco wins hands down. - Anika Malone
@Anika, :( - AJ Batac
:D It's just how I was raised. It doesn't take much time to do, so why not? Especially if the person's carrying stuff. I also give up seats on the bus for people who need 'em. I also say thanks to cashiers and waitresses... and a lot of the time they look confused that I was nice to 'em. - Ninth
'Thanks' and 'Sorry' are the most used words here. :) - AJ Batac
In Toronto, people grin and hold doors open for you when you waddle in out of the snow. Happy to call it home :) - Kamath ॐ
People in Seattle don't do that. It was really awesome when I went to the post office on Monday with an arm full of packages, 9 months pregnant, in snow/ice and there were people all around, coming and going, and no one would open the door for me. :| I finally wedged the door open with my foot and then used my hip/butt to squeeze in the door. - Rochelle
Yes, I was raised to hold the door for people. if I see a lot of people coming then I will pull the door open and hold it for all of them. People in Miami seem to be allergic to this concept - Lindsey in Love
Aww Rochelle. :( - AJ Batac
"They're not local" - In our minds when we see someone not doing this here. - AJ Batac
i adhere to the three step rule: if they are within three steps, i hold the door. if they are within three steps and you let go, the person behind you might wind up with a face full of door. if they are more than three steps, they are holding me up or i would be forcing them to walk faster to catch the door. i say thanks if a man opens the door for me or went of out his way to hold it open. otherwise, i just takeover the already held open door. (and yes, men in the south still do the door thing) - tiffany. lowercase 't'
I was raised to hold doors, smile at people and say thank you, please and sorry. Unfortunately not everyone was raised this way. :( - Carmen
In Quebec, people are somewhat reluctant to hold the door open for others. I don't consider myself part of the "Quebecois" society. I am Canadian! I was brought up from a very young age to always hold the door open for anyone regardless of their age, and I do. I'm sorry to say that others in Brossard (the city I live in) just don't care enough to open the door for you, and are actually shocked when you do it for them. I'm just happy that I'm setting a good example. - Michael Forian
+100 Michael :) - AJ Batac
Well, some people do in Toronto and some don't. AJ- do you find that in Canada "sorry" is like "aloha" in Hawaii- many meanings from actually meaning "I am sorry" to "get out of my way!" to "your fault idiot." - Abby Martin
In the southern US, we generally do whatever feels the most fluid in these situations, generally it involves someone holding the door for whatever group they are with then giving the door to someone from the next group, sometimes we do like you said, one person to the next. But holding a door generally gathers a thank you. - xero
I do it! In Ontario - Joshua Schnell
We say 'Sorry' for almost anything. We apologize too much for nothing - AJ Batac
ditto what ninth said at the top - generally people are kind to each other one on one, even in a cowboy town like Tucson - William Harryman
Definitely. When I was younger and went out with my mom, she would stand at a door until I opened it for her. So now it's ingrained. - Chris Rivait
yes. - denise
Yes what I was taught to do, but in NY I often almost get stampeded doing that! - Sally Church
+1 Anika. I love San Fran, but I had no idea how in courteous people in my hometown could be until I moved away from there. Chivalry is still alive and well here in Reno, NV. People open the door for me, I say thank you, and do the same to others. - Helen Somethingtosay-sky
Helen, it's an oddity to me because the people I've met in (or from) SF are so sweet, but as a whole, the city is the rudest place I've ever visited. - Anika Malone
Anika- ruder than NYC? I've been mugged both places and at least the guy in SF said "please may I have your wallet" and thanked me for turning it over, I will not type what the guy in NY said. - Abby Martin
@Abby, please type it in. :) - AJ Batac
I've only been to LaGuardia in NYC, so I can't speak of how people there are. I will say the that Dallas, Montego Bay and Stockholm had the nicest people on earth. Almost scarily nice. - Anika Malone
In Calgary we typically do this, especially in bad weather but most people will do it. If not, they likely aren't from here... - Kenton
Ninth, you make yer mama proud. - m9m
Here (in Halifax) I tend to hold doors, but I'm not sure it's universally practiced. I'll often forget to say thanks when the door is held because it's an automatic and expected thing to do; the thanks slips my mind too readily. - Apollo L
Always hold the door. It's just good manners. - Morgan Haley
Yeah, roughly. In Indiana, US. - Kamilah Gill
Here in Charlotte, we always hold the door, and will continue to stand there as if time was of no concern at all. This prevents them from hitting you with their seal bat. - david beckwith

Neither. - Mona N.
The mistakes I've made. I've been haughty. I've been unkind. I've made plenty of mistakes, many of which I've been forgiven for. But that doesn't make them right or make me feel less guilty about making them. - Jason Huebel
For me, it's B. We all learn from our mistakes. That's a cliche for a reason, but in my life, I've played it far too safe for far too long, and at the end of the day, it's been disappointing. I'm embracing and looking forward to being more cavalier about taking more chances in life. - Derrick
I'm not big on the whole regret thing, but if I had to choose, I'd go with B. There are a few things I wish I would have done but didn't and that time is past. - James Ferguson

B. I was too careful most of my life. Taking chances has opened my life to new horizons. - Carmen
Neither. We are linear beings. Regret is merely a sticky substance that we should avoid. - Tutivillus Grift
I never regret mistakes. Of course, i've yet to make one that was devastating. We all do the best we can given our current circumstances. You can never expect more from yourself than you can give at any instance. Looking back and wishing it was different won't change the past. Mistakes are a learning experience. - ·[▪_▪]·
well both of them are regretful , I think I may regret not taking my chances because mistakes should be in life ... and it is always with us ... when we do a mistake we learn something new and we get a new experience but when we don't take a chance , it may not come to us anymore - vivavida

Deleted my previous comment cause I was half asleep when I wrote it. I think you should strive to not regret these kinds of things. Mistakes are the only way you learn, I guess regret would be if you keep repeating the *same* mistake. So if I had to choose it would be B. - mikepk

I'm gonna say "A"...largely because I have a gun to my head with a demand that I do so, "or else". I'm pretty happy with the chances I've taken, and am not greedy. I have hurt people's feelings, and have behaved in less than exemplary ways, which I now, at times, regret. - david beckwith

Church removes Jesus after he scares kids
4 hours ago - metro.co.uk - Link
"A sculpture of Christ has been removed from a church following concerns that it was scaring young children, a vicar said today. The Rev Ewen Souter said the 10ft-high resin figure also failed to convey the message of hope of the resurrection of Christ. The sculpture was installed in St John's Church in Broadbridge Heath, West Sussex, in the Sixties after being designed by former Royal Society of British Sculptors president Edward Bainbridge Copnall." - Shevonne Polastre via Bookmarklet

There was a a year and a half period where I played Fight Club almost every day. I bought 5 copies of it as I'd find myself someplace without a DVD of Fight Club and had to watch it. I didn't sit down and watch it the entire time, but it was my background noise after the first few months. Clerks, the Evil Dead movies and Star Wars saga, rate pretty high up there also. - Robert Haas
Used to be Goodfellas and Spinal Tap, but now it's usually older classics that my husband will watch umpteen zillion times. Pretty much all the Katherine Hepburn - Spencer Tracy ones, all the Thin Man ones, My Man Godfrey, The Women ... too many to list here. - Laura Norvig
It's gotta be Tombstone, followed closely by The Matrix, the first one. - Malcolm Lloyd
I've not watched a movie over and over for ages but in the past it was the likes of Predator and Aliens. I've seen Matrix a few times and Sunshine (Danny Boyle sci-fi movie). If I had the time Sunshine and The Invisible would be the 2 movies I'd watch over and over now. Both brilliant IMHO. :-) - Kol Tregaskes
have seen the original Star Wars trilogy probably the most of any films - Nathan Chase
Trainspotting. I think I've seen that more than I've seen Star Wars. - Ninth
