Now the conundrum becomes...what do I do with myself between now and university? I'm used to devoting sometimes upwards of 7 hours at school a day. I need to think of something productive to do! - David Adam via IM

“I've quite enjoyed the past two episodes of Heroes (episodes 8 and 9, season 3). The flashback episode seemed to act as a sort of reset, letting the series start to gather momentum again, whilst the latest episode seemed to give the plot a little bit of focus again.”

Congrats! - Ladybug Heather
@pea heh its David actually, but thats ok. I respond to both names. My friends insist its unnatural that I have 'two first names' as it were. I still have teachers who call me Adam even after 5 years of highschool with them ;-) - David Adam

as an australian immigrant, it's good to know that one day Australia may become a destination for industry, rather than just a place that's nice and sunny with lots of sport. - William Stewart

“agh. this is where enjit's implementation of FF IM lets me down. there is an interesting post that I would like to expand to see all the comments...but I can't because I'm using enjit to monitor my home feed and FF IM to monitor personal posts- and only FF IM can expand posts :-(”

What client are you using? The first link will take you to the expanded post (unless your client doesn't display links). - Dustin Sallings
I meant that FF IM can expand it in your IM client itself. Eg. Typing @2 Shows that entire post, plus all comments inside my IM client. Enjit can't do that as far as I'm aware, and what you're talking about (I think) is just clicking on the post's link to view it in the website. - David Adam via IM

“Just watched an episode of Doctor Who (season 2, episode 8: Impossible Planet) which had a very H.P Lovecraft tone; unfathomably powerful, cosmic-in-scale entity entombed in the depths of a planet. Brilliant stuff, and very enjoyable!”
November 16 at 3:21 am - Link
I think that's what I love most about Doctor Who since they did away with the cardboard sets and brought in Russel T Davies - some of the concepts they've dreamed up are absolutely inspiring. Some, admittedly have been a little camp and cheesy, but they're more than made up for by themes such as that in "Impossible Planet" - Slippy Lane
I agree 100%- they really are inspiring. I particularly enjoyed later episodes which seem to trumpet humanity's indomitable spirit. Whenever I hear about global warming and other end-of-the-world, depressing type stuff, I like to think of the Doctor and his wonder at how the human race tenaciously clings to life, even to the end of the universe and the edge of the galaxy. It really is inspiring - David Adam
