"GM should shut down many of its lines and many of its brands. Do a real house cleaning. Why do we need Saturn, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Chevy? We don’t. Pick two, get rid of the rest.
Agree." - Steve Garfield
"Whether sharing project updates with colleagues or reaching out to customers, workers are communicating in a new medium that keeps messages very short. Commonly called microblogging, it started as a way to share personal information with friends and family. But micromessages are gaining ground at work, becoming popular for both internal and external exchanges." - Atul Arora

Man, Commodore kicked Apple's ass back in the day. - Victor Ganata
When I think of all the stuff I did with a Commodore 64 with 64K of RAM over 20 years ago..... and it didn't crash nearly as much as windows 3 did either... - Ian May
um no... Amigas rule. Was the best computer ever made at release. Still unbelievably ahead of its time. I wouldn't be a graphic designer and video editor today if it wasn't for the Amiga. - Nathan Chase
Macs still had monochrome screens back then, no? And IBM basically had no graphics or sound capabilities. I miss Commodore. How different would the world be if they managed to stay solvent? - Victor Ganata
Not different. History is littered with companies like Commodore - great tech but lacking business support. I have to say that all the Amiga DEMOS were totally mindblowing . Remember those? They prefaced every pirated app. - Aaron deMello
You don't think we'd all have Amigas instead of Macs? It took Apple several years to offer similarly spec'ed Macs for similar cost. And IBM et al took even longer to finally get multimedia capabilities. Hell, I'm still amazed at C64 demos. Didn't Timbaland rip-off the music from a C64 demo for a Nellie Furtado song? - Victor Ganata
Commodore sucked, the Amiga was way ahead of its time! - Michael Fidler

I was multitasking on my amiga years before Apple of Windows. Windows 3.1 thant is! I could Ray Trace, edit video, play real games. EA started on the Amiga. I could go on an on. i still have a 3000 in my closet, trashing it just didn't seem right! - Michael Fidler

I think he's just trying to push our buttons, i'm actually pissed off. Obviously he never used one, because if he did, he would know how absurd he's being. If it were not for comodore, we might all be using Amiga's now! We probably would be years ahead in OS design, and graphics. Oh Well! Tell me your joking... - Michael Fidler
Spoken like a true Atarian. Quiet with all the comments about Mac's and PC's...bah! Back then it was all about Atari ST vs. Commodore Amiga fanboys duking it out, we didn't care or consider those other platforms even worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence! - Mark Krynsky
Louis - bummer. But it could be worse: my poor mother was almost entirely in the market (hoping to "catch up" and retire before 65). Now it looks like she'll be working for another 10 years :( A lot of the boomers are hurting right now... - Patrick Lightbody
@Patrick, this has hit everyone across the board. I was just looking at the data and saying, "If I lost the average amount I have over the last two weeks, we'll be at zero in eight weeks." Ugly. - Louis Gray
Everytime we have one of those 5% down days, I think "well we can only have 20 more of those..." - Occasional Headbanger
My like isn't meant in a nasty way, hope it turns back upwards for you and everyone else with large exposure. - Tai

@Tai, I never take "likes" in a negative way. I know people use them for their own reasons, to expand exposure, to note they read it, that they liked the content, message, you name it. Appreciate the explanation. - Louis Gray
Who knew there was a blog about coffee vending machines? In any case, these are some cool cups. The cookie one needs to be under the tree this year. - Chris Baskind
