It probably has to do with enclosures in the RSS feed. - Jason Huebel
I'd like to know also, if you get a chance - Tom Mack
If the audio is in the feed, FF will put the player in itself. I have my Utterz feed listed in FF, and when I leave an audio post FF puts that little player in too. - Ciaoenrico
Please change "Steve Gibson's comments" to "Steve Gillmor's comments" on the description page for this episode. :) - Dr. Apps

Any link to a valid mp3 file that is part of the body text in an RSS feed will show up like this automatically once it is imported into FriendFeed. PS - come listen to the FFundercats podcast, all about FriendFeed! http://ffundercats.com - Josh Haley
Mark, thanks for mentioning me. Made my day! :) - Michael Hocter
I halfway expected this to be a list of stunningly beautiful FriendFeeders. But I wasn't disappointed. :-) - Robert Scoble
@Robert, funny...I didn't even think of that angle. But now that you mentioned it, I'm sure it's coming soon. - Mark Krynsky
Mark, thanks for this lovely list, i will check the ones i don't follow yet. BTW, great use of FriendFeed embedded widgets! - Majento
Damn, man! I'm honored! thanks much for the shout out....I'm glad to know there's a few others out there that share my sick sense of humor and think some of the stuff I post is cool...FF kicks serious butt and there are lots of quality folks on there that I like interacting with....love ya all! - Live4SoccerVacations
"Yes it is easy to set up and add to your blog. Asd you say, though, some things are not easy to figure out. hopefully we'll manage to get an idea here :)" - Neville Hobson
"You may be right, Adrian. Think outside the bubble, etc. Ok, but I think some common principles apply here and not social media focused necessarily. In yiur example, Facebook and Twitter would help if some or many of the group who connect with each other use those services. So their presence together in Friend Connect purely facilitates their use of those other networks. At least, I think that's how it works..." - Neville Hobson
"After a bit of thought on the matter it seems to me that this offering from Google will cause heart palpations amongst the operators of services like those at JS Kit and MyBlogLog. These services allow publishers who have limited interactive functionality on their sites to add social features like members, comments and ratings. Membership, comments and ratings seem to form the backbone of the Google Friend Connect service. In that sense this new offering could very well make future growth prospects much harder for the companies I mentioned above. Most people familiar with blogging know MyBlogLog which was acquired by Yahoo. JS Kit is a much smaller, independent company. http://js-kit.com/" - Rob Safuto
"It does look similar, my thought exactly., But I have a better feeling about it than the other one. Maybe it's because it's Google, not sure." - Neville Hobson
"Thanks, Robert, thoughtful commentary.I agree, this is all about trust. Multiple trust, in fact: each of our individual trust in each other, and in Google as a guardian of our data and provider of something useful. We should expect to 'pay' for that usefulness, which will probably be in allowing Google to do things with our data. You've raised a good point in your last para. Like you, I'm not at all clear on precisely what is the perceived value of the overall service offering from the user viewpoint. Yes, I've read Google's description, and included a quote from it in my post. But I'm still unclear and hoping this experiment may help make it all clear. Well, clearer at least." - Neville Hobson
"It's disruptive, that seems clear. My thought, too, re what it might mean for MyBlogLog and similar services. One thing I really am in the dark about is how do I add other Friend Connect functions (widgets) here - ratings, for instance - that everyone in the community can use. Or is it that anyone can use them, in which case what's the point of the community? Need to investigate a bit on the Friend Connect site!" - Neville Hobson
Will you come over and be my friend? Also check out my Google profile and update yours, they've come a long way. Might as well get this going quick as it's probably gonna take off. - Mark Krynsky
Bwana posted a good guide showing 3 ways to use it on your site http://www.bwana.org/2008/12/0... I only chose the first way as I see the other 2 as competing with functionality I think that should be native. But Google is smart in trying to get us to populate their profiles with content generated from interacting with our sites. - Mark Krynsky
“I was just thinking how interesting it would be if there was a Torrent client (I use uTorrent) that provided an RSS feed of download activity and you piped it through FF.”
"Linking to your blog from Twitter with TinyURL is making you invisible. Host your own short URL’s for maximum exposure. In this post Martin Wright from beta.twitseek.com (@mawawa) shows you how." Now this sounds like a good idea that really makes sense. - Mark Krynsky
