I think that means we'll have another reason to request an interview with Mathew now. I can't wait to see what he'll do at the Globe. I can't think of a better person for this role. - Eden Spodek

Episode 4: Interview with Daniele Rossi
September 27 at 10:22 pm - Link
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my B2B challenge in episode 4. Much appreciated! Loved the interview with Daniele Rossi too. We all face challenges of varying magnitudes and it is fabulous to see people who overcome these challenges and just get on with life with a hugely positive attitude. Wonderful :-) - Jane Rowe
Thanks so much, Jane! I am glad you enjoyed the episode, and I hope we (somewhat) answered your question. I'm sure it is a theme we will be developing over time. - Connie Crosby
Jane, thanks so much for your questions and comments about episode 4. I really enjoyed this interview. Daniele's story is so inspiring. We heard variations of it several times - it took three takes on three different days - each one different and equally engaging. We think the one that made the final cut was actually the best. Whew! I also enjoyed hearing your interview on FIR and liked being able to put a voice to your name (the power of podcasting). Please keep us posted on your B2B challenge. - Eden Spodek

Okay, that comment didn't completely come out. I thought the attitude toward 20-something PR students to be patronizing. They seem to think advanced social media concepts would be over the heads of 20 somethings. I agree it is good to have podcamp sessions at various levels, but I think teens & 20 somethings can be quite sophisticated in the social media arena. - Connie Crosby
I only listened to part of that episode so it may be unfair of me to comment but I think what fosters social media and community building is inclusion. Different perspectives should be both welcomed and encouraged. We all have something to learn and share at events like PodCamp regardless of our age and experience levels. Connie, I also have to agree that teens and 20-somethings are quite sophisticated in the social media arena. @chris24 and @definetheline - both teens - have contributed a lot. - Eden Spodek
Yeah, I don't think they were saying people at different levels shouldn't be there. They were in fact suggesting sessions at different levels as ways to include everyone. It was just the attitude, calling the 20 somethings "cute kids" and implying that they couldn't understand the more advanced sessions. I think they would have been shocked to see 15 and 13 year olds at Podcamp. ;-) - Connie Crosby
I think having events at different levels is a form of exclusion too. I should have been more specific in my comment. :-) Leave it up to the "cute kids" to decide where to go. They can always leave it they find the content too advanced or too basic. - Eden Spodek
