Not in the API (yet). As soon as it is I will add it - Benjamin Golub
Hmm...subscribe/unsubscribe. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were a person within FriendFeed to champion this? :) Seriously, Benjamin, I assume that there are pros and cons to this which have caused FriendFeed to refrain from putting subscribe/unsubscribe in the API, but perhaps this is an opportune time to revisit them. - Ontario Emperor

What happens when you try it? - Benjamin Golub
It just can't be opened up on the desktop,it made me think it is cellphone exclusive, but it seems like only me have that kind of problem - Steve
it says "fail to open the page" - Steve
Does fftogo say "fail to open the page" or does your browser? What browser/os are you using? Nothing about fftogo is exclusive to any platform. - Benjamin Golub
My browser says that, and I've tried that on Firefox 3,Safari,never work,I don't think it is a browser problem, maybe it is the Chinese GFW block it - Steve
Steve: that's it. I've heard reports from others that you cannot access fftogo from China. Sorry! - Benjamin Golub
Benjamin, will you guys add some kind of room search or import from Facebook address book feature to FF in the near future? - Steve
And thanks for your reply anyway - Steve
Why use it on the desktop? you could just go to FriendFeed.com - Colide81
Colide,I want to have a try on fftogo on the desktop, but right now I don't have that option at all - Steve
Colide81, there are GUI interfaces between fftogo and the regular FriendFeed interface - most notably that if you happen to share a dozen Google Reader items at the same time, fftogo doesn't hide most of them. For this reason, it may sometimes be desirable to use fftogo, rather than FriendFeed, as your desktop/laptop access to FriendFeed. This is the reason that Benjamin added the option to fftogo to open items in a new window; it wouldn't make sense on my cell phone, but it makes perfect sense on my laptop. - Ontario Emperor

It's due to there being no white space in the the line of code in the 3rd comment. Not sure if there's much you can do about that though... - Tony Ruscoe

fftogo still works better on my Nokia 6220 S60 phone. The iphone interface is a little large. - John Cooper

Since last night, I have been unable to log in to fftogo on my mobile phone, constantly getting a "limit exceeded" message. Tried again this morning, same thing. - Ontario Emperor
Confirmed I was typing correct remote key. Also tried to get in to fftogo from my computer; same message. - Ontario Emperor
Directeur encountering similar problem with fftogo AND Noiseriver. Perhaps this is a FriendFeed issue. http://friendfeed.com/e/703b91... - Ontario Emperor
Directeur's feed...um...directed me to this Google Groups conversation: http://groups.google.com/group... - Ontario Emperor
Same thing happening to me. Can't sign on anymore even though I'm providing the correct api key. - Gus Perez
Just got on. Not sure what, if anything, was fixed. - Ontario Emperor via fftogo
http://groups.google.com/group... Sorry for the inconvenience it caused. - Benjamin Golub

What are you using to view with? Looks fine with the Symbian Series 60 browser. - Ivan via fftogo
An iPhone - everything is cramped to the left margin almost off the page, even in landscape - Sally Church
Might have something to do with how the iPhone's browser handles WAP pages. - Ivan via fftogo
Looks fine on my iPhone. Could it have been down to one of the items in your feed? Does it look okay now? [Edit] Alternatively, you may have zoomed out completely. Try double-tapping the screen to go back to its default zoom. - Tony Ruscoe
I've heard this can happen if you have images enabled because the iPhone zooms out to fit large images in. - Benjamin Golub via fftogo
Ah, I've got images enabled. If I turn them off it goes back to normal, thx Benjamin. - Sally Church via fftogo

Can you elaborate? I'm not sure I follow you. The "Show X more comments" link goes to a permalink of the entry in questions which contains all the likes and comments for that entry. - Benjamin Golub
It shows like three or so comments, then says "click here to show X more comments" then right under that it shows a couple more comments. Is that a feature like "here are the first few and the last few, but there's so much we'll let you choose if you want to see the stuff in the middle" or just a malfunction with the S60 browser? - Ivan via fftogo
It's a feature. That is exactly how the normal FriendFeed interface works. - Benjamin Golub via fftogo

usually every decent phone browser have the option to show images or not, so it would be easy to disable image on a local level for those with limited bandwitch. - Ben Borges
I haven't decided yet; does everyone else want images? - Benjamin Golub
yes, and cross posting to twitter - The Picture Man
Media is now enabled but you have to opt in via the settings page: http://www.fftogo.com/settings... - Benjamin Golub
I'd like cross posting to Twitter too, not all of my friends are on FF - Sally Church
@maverickny Sally I agree about the twitter crossposting - The Picture Man
That's awesome! Thanks Banjamin! (I agree with crossposting too however) - Robert DeBord
@Golub thanks for the images, having the choice to opt in by the settings page is great :) thanks a lot ! - Ben Borges
I agree. Nice way of handling images. - Ivan via fftogo

Nice! One quibble, though. Once you get to the detailed view of a specific item (with all comments exposed), it's not obvious how to navigate back. I've had to use the back button. - Ontario Emperor via fftogo

Done. Now it displays up to 3 pieces of media per entry and only 1 thumbnail (should be the smallest) for each piece of media. It really was overkill for things like flickr/picasa (especially picasa which returns 3 thumbnails for each piece of media) - Benjamin Golub

When I'm in fftogo on the Friends (0) page, listings will appear as "Joe Blow posted Obama is Kewl on del.icio.us." However, it isn't until I return to native FriendFeed that I realize that Joe Blow isn't one of my contacts. (Native FriendFeed will say "Joe Blow (friend of Jim Beam) posted Obama is Kewl on del.icio.us.") - Ontario Emperor
It would be nice for fftogo to show that certain people in your feed are friends of friends. - Ontario Emperor
On the other hand, perhaps this isn't desirable. It takes up screen real estate, and you can't do anything with the information anyway since the FriendFeed API doesn't allow you to subscribe. HOW DO OTHER PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT THIS FEATURE REQUEST? - Ontario Emperor
I *really* want to display friend of a friend information on fftogo but the API does not give this information. I've requested it in the Google group: http://groups.google.com/group... - Benjamin Golub
Thanks for fighting the good fight, Benjamin! - Ontario Emperor
The JS and XML outputs should now include a "friendof" element on the appropriate entries (as of sometime last week). - Paul Buchheit
cool! wow, that was fast Paul! Ok Ben... Go!! - Susan Beebe
Done, thanks Paul! - Benjamin Golub
