"Are Internet Marketers really the Apocalypse? Thursday, June 19th, 2008 A tag cloud with terms related to Web 2. Image via Wikipedia An interesting debate (I suppose you could call it that) is surfacing about Internet Marketers using Twitter. What’s the fuss about? Well, any one who is a “honourable” Internet Marketer will know that we are often “tarred with the same brush” as the “spammers”, charlatans and scammers that abound on the ‘Net. Certainly, I held this kind of belief before I did my research on starting an online business. However, after a LOT of research and searching, I have found that whilst there are scammers and spammers, many Internet Marketers are doing the right thing, creating valuable products and, quite rightly, making a living by marketing their creations on the Internet." - Vincent Wright via Bookmarklet

I'm currently between twhirl & tweetdeck. I like TweetDeck's look & feel. Local search is very helpful too. It lacks on notifications (visual & audio), and personal tweets. So I'm sticking with twhirl until TD matures or I permanently stick to twhirl. - embee
Looks like Twhirl is still the client of choice for many of us - unfortunately we have not seen anything actually better to migrate. So maybe sticking to it is not such a bad idea? ;) - Svetlana Gladkova
TwitterFox - because I spend all day in my browser and the integration with Firefox is excellent. Just one click to tweet the URL of the current page is an excellent feature too. - Andy Murdoch
twhirl & tweetdeck for me ,,, sometimes twitterific - fotographic
I'd have to say Twhirl. Heard some good and not so good things about Tweetdeck so I'm going to hold off on it for a while. - Sharon Bray-McPherson

If you are an Outlook user, you probably have it open all the time. Now you can update your Twitter status and follow your friends without having to open any other applications. OutTwit seamlessly integrates Twitter into Outlook. - Sharon Bray-McPherson
Looks interesting....question is, I am on an exchange environment. Does it dump the tweets into the exchange store or does it make it into a local store? Don't necessarily want my work to see my tweets in the Exchange Store on the server. - the_IT_factor
Destination folder is configurable in OutTwit. You can configure OutTwit to put tweets into any folder of your choice, either in the Exchange mailbox or in a PST. - TechHit
Thanks TechHit...trying it out...works pretty good so far - the_IT_factor

The only way that I can think of doing this is to add your Twitter contacts' username to your imaginary friends' FF settings. I would get their permission first though, in case they do decide in the future to set up a FF account. - Sharon Bray-McPherson
I'm already doing this for some of them, but it's time-consuming if you have many Twitter contacts. By the way I didn't ask permission to them because imaginary friends don't really 'exist' on FF - you only see them. - Opensource Obscure
