Indeed, Kenichi! There is one huge reason why this phone is better than most of the japanese cell phones -- it will have native support for kanji including "finger writing" the kanji you want on the screen. I'll try to write a post about it. - Phil (scribkin)

I'm guessing not officially unless you buy from outside of the US where Apple doesn't deal with AT&T, it's a potential. But I'm sure the iPhoneDev team and others is/will be working on methods to jailbreak and SIM unlock the 3G. - Hao Chen

I also think white is going to be the better choice as far as long term looks. That black plastic is going to look pretty rough after a while. Personally I stopped using cases about a few weeks after getting my iPhone. Its still in really good shape. I also wish they would opt for the darker corner/edge face like on the iPod Touch rather than the chrome on the iPhone. - Delete Me
