Even more funny when studying the "web" of American constitutionalism. I thin I've been accused of being the marijuana spider here more than once! - Shellee

"Further proof that what happens in twitter doesn't necessarily stay in twitter is the continuing controversy (?!) over the use of new technology by Congresspeople. John Culberson (R, Social Media) kicked it off with a cry into the tweet stream "I just learned the Dems are trying to censor Congressmen's ability to use Twitter Qik YouTube Utterz etc - outrageous and I will fight them."" - Shellee via Bookmarklet

"Those words have been resonating with me over the last few days, because organizing and participating in the Get FISA Right movement has been "ridiculously" easy. We're using free, social software tools to connect, to think through ideas, to collaborate, all with the aim of taking the passion and energy created on Barack Obama's website and shape it into political action." - Shellee via Bookmarklet

"Although the United States remains dominant in most space-related fields -- and owns half the military satellites currently orbiting Earth -- experts say the nation's superiority is diminishing, and many other nations are expanding their civilian and commercial space capabilities at a far faster pace." - Shellee via Bookmarklet
The key sentence in this excellent article by Kaufman was the note on how the U.S. still dominates with 75 percent of the private space industry. Fact is, that's where it truly is going to be at for the next decade. Private industry, for the most part, is poised to take over low Earth orbit while NASA heads out beyond, and that's a good thing. And when that happens, it doesn't matter what other nations do with their programs, the U.S. will still be the leader when it comes to space commerce. - Chris Reed
