If you call the Help Desk at all, I will not pick up (unless my manager forces me to cross-train again, and I still won't do it for long). I'm a field tech, because I do not want to answer phones, thank you. - MiɳiMagɘ (AlwaysMiniMage) via NoiseRiver
MiniMage, I was a field tech until my manager "reorganized" the team. I told my team lead, "You know I'm leaving, right? I've led a tech support team larger than this entire IS department, and you want me to take calls from people who don't know how to make text bold in MS Word?" I'm feeling a lot of resentment about this gig. Good news is, I turned in my resignation on Wednesday. - ha3rvey
Wow Harvey.. .. thats pretty crazy. Whoever did the reorg is an idiot. BiG idiot. TSG (Tech support group ) fieldops, can NOT be told to sit and take calls in an office. Talent management is an art !! Hope that all works out for you.. - Peter Dawson

@Harvey Simmons (ha3rvey): Wow, and I got mad about their adding time clocks to the list of devices we support. I'd prefer to leave my bed to reboot a time clock in the middle of the night rather than answer phones any time of the day. - MiɳiMagɘ (AlwaysMiniMage) via NoiseRiver

While I kinda cringe at any film project involving MTV, and will probably happily ignore the whole thing and keep sneaking off, trenchcoated, to the theater Friday midnights to see it done the old fashioned way, the article's author does have a point: Alan Cumming as Frank might not be half bad (though I'd probably have to carry my wife home in a wheelbarrow afterwards). - Derrick Burns

the joke is you think a man could have one of the most respected on camera reputations in the world for decades and be a complete moron. I don't buy it. McCain has experience... that means he understands. he changed the world and campaign finance that most Democratic Party members opposed. do you think a moron could of accomplished that? you discredit your p.o.v. when you call your opponent stupid. McCain is simply one of the brightest minds alive - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
A complete moron? No. A momentary moron? Certainly. But by the end of any significant campaign EVERYONE has been a momentary moron a few times. That doesn't make it any less amusing. - Urban Thought Collective
Why John McCain is exceptionally scary: not only is he as uninformed and incoherent about international politics (and everything else) as George W. Bush, but he may be even more violent in his basic instincts than Bush. Check out this video: Viral Video Chart: John McCain's Neverending War http://tinyurl.com/64a5mr McCain has a single message: war, war, war, war, war and more war. McCain is the less worse of the two evils winnowed out of the larger pack of hopeful evils. I think I said that right. - Hal Rottenberg via twhirl
Obama=57 states. - "Oldengrey" Tannenbaum
I agree "McCain is the less worse of the two evils" Obama is too manipulative! He will sell his mother to get the job, and he will sell his wife to keep the job! I just do not trust him, period! - Igor The Troll
Jay - what is the most important political issue for you in determining your preference for John McCain? - Sean McBride
he's obviously making a play for the youth vote http://www.cnn.com/2006/EDUCAT... - Duncan Riley
He also doesn't know the difference between Sunni's and Shiite's, and he repeatedly said that Iran was training Al-Qaeda terrorists and sending them into Iraq, even after being corrected by Lieberman. His supposed strength, foreign policy, has turned out to be his weakness. - Jason Carreira
John McCain, the neoconservatives and the Israel lobby: a high percentage of McCain supporters on Friendfeed (there aren't very many overall) are motivated by strong feelings about Israel. It's quite an interesting social phenomenon. Most of them are on the record as supporting an American and/or Israeli war against Iran -- a policy which is strongly opposed by most Americans, the American military/intel establishment and every other nation in the world except Israel. - Sean McBride
Jason -- not only does Joseph Lieberman seem to be feeding McCain most of his lines on foreign policy, but McCain can't even read the lines without badly bungling them! :) Definitely one of the strangest presidential candidacies in my memory, and it is probably going to get much stranger by November. - Sean McBride
Obama is definitely grabbing the youth vote and he has the much smarter campaign because of it. I know I'm voting for Obama and I've been able to convince my mom to vote for him as well. Even if Obama doesn't live up to his promises (and it's starting to show that he may back away from some key issues), I would much rather have a literate president than John McCain, whom I have seen in person. His mistake about "the surge" is unforgivable and shows his true misunderstanding of his only real issue. - Brandon Titus
Sean: I just ate a mango. - "Oldengrey" Tannenbaum
Jay - I find it surprising that you don't pursue political discussions that you enter. What is the leading political issue which prompts your support for McCain over Obama? Is this a top secret topic? You entered this political discussion under your own free will. - Sean McBride
how did supporting America become a bad thing for the American voter? Is that what you think stupid is... supporting your country? I don't buy it. America has a right to support it's friends. John McCain always spoke his feelings honestly and intelligently. I was especially impressed with how he campaigned in Michigan. John told the autoworkers the sad truth and didn't lie to them like Obama would. Romney tried telling his home state that he could bring back the 50's and won the state. John=Integrity! - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Noah: is Israel the most important issue for you and Jay Tannenbaum in the election contest between McCain and Obama? Which issue is more important than Israel for you and Jay? Both you and Tannenbaum have posted quite a few messages on Friendfeed expressing upset about disagreements by Americans with Likud, the neoconservatives, the Iraq War, an Iran War, etc. Clearly Israel is a very hot button for both of you. Most of John McCain's leading advisers are neoconservatives and agitators for an Iran War. - Sean McBride
Sean McBride you have the same pattern of interests in subject. I support America and its allies... I have bias towards people that don't want to kill me. I question your pattern of interest because you hate what keeps me alive McBride - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Noah - I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Are you claiming that all Americans who oppose the Iraq War and an Iran War, and who support the Mideast peace process, are your enemies? That is the message that seems to be coming through your remarks. Generally those kinds of views are associated with extremists in Israel. - Sean McBride
who is America fighting Sean? last I checked it wasn't Israel who bombed NY... or is this one of those 911 conspiracy theories your boys cracked up with the tinfoil hats? - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Iraq and Iran had nothing to do with 9/11. The Iraq War is costing Americans several trillion dollars. An Iran War would destroy the American economy and almost certainly cause a world depression. Israel is the only nation in the world which is agitating for an Iran War, against the best judgment of the American military and intelligence community. So where do you and Jay Tannenbaum stand on this issue -- with the American or the Israeli government? - Sean McBride
you think there weren't terrorists in Iraq and Iran? yawn... even Chomsky says there were WMDs at this point. Iraq wasn't supporting terrorists in Palestine? yawn... Iran isn't an enemy? you are a nut bar. Iran with a bomb is a danger to EVERYONE... stop blaming the Jews - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
The world is full of folks with crazy 9/11 conspiracy theories... usually they involve blaming "The Jews" somehow either overtly or covertly. No planes, some planes, holograms, thermite, CIA controlled planes, reptiles from space (I am not makign that one up)... whatever. It's all crazy. - Soulhuntre
Noah: so you side with the Israeli government against the American government and the Bush 43 administration on the issue of attacking Iran? And you conclude that everyone who disagrees with you is antisemitic and your religious enemy? And you are verbally abusing me and every other American who disagrees with you because of your strong emotional views about Israel? - Sean McBride
Look, neither of these guys is awesome. Obama thinks we have 57 states and thinks he is heading the banking committee in the senate (he isn't even on it). McCain makes errors, this is true - but Obama just flat out lies when it suits him. - Soulhuntre
nothing you say McBride will talk me into suicide. supporting America and it's allies keeps my family alive. your solutions are full of hatred. A country has a right and an obligation to be loyal to those that are friendly. you are blowing on a tangent because you know the real issue of this thread was spin. now it is evident that your bias is showing - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Soulhuntre: There are hundreds of leading government figures, military and intelligence officials, engineers and scientists and other respectable professionals who question the 9/11 official story, and who don't remotely resemble your cartoon description of them. Carefully check out the names, affiliations and comments here: http://patriotsquestion911.com... How many of their questions can you answer in a satisfactory way? - Sean McBride
Noah -- Are you accusing the entire American government of being driven by antisemitic hatred because it opposes the Iran War which you and the Israeli government are pushing? What I notice in these exchanges is that you almost never respond to the points that are being addressed to you. You just sort of ramble on, with no real dialogue. - Sean McBride
McBride you just lost all credibility. where do you live? don't tell me what I saw. don't tell me what my friends saw. they weren't watching TV. all this conspiracy stuff you read on the internet is first hand experience for me or if you go back goes to the experience of my family. from the Holocaust to 1948... to 911. I don't need to read the textbooks because I'm from NYC and my family is in Israel. when an event happens on the news I dial a phone number to see if it is real or not. - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Let's save some time Sean. Tell us your theory. Are you a hologram guy? An aliens guy? Do you just think "The Jews" did it? Maybe your one of those who think they built thermite into the towers decades ago. Give us your theory. - Soulhuntre
the American government does not support your crazy opinions McBride. this thread is over. I have responded to you as long as I can... but now you attack my credibility because I don't believe conspiracy theories? come now... - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
The thing is, cherry picking quotes, finding "golden lists" and misunderstanding physics is not evidence. You simply can't point to any actual evidence for any of these theories. - Soulhuntre
Soulhuntre -- I have no theories about 9/11 -- I am simply interested in seeing a new and thorough investigation that answers all the open questions about 9/11. That's the point of view of nearly all the 9/11 skeptics at http://patriotsquestion911.com... Did you even bother looking at the site and checking out the names, affiliations and comments? For instance, several high-ranking Reagan adminstration members are calling for a new 9/11 investigation, including the head of the Star Wars program. - Sean McBride

I, for one, welcome our Reptillian Alien overlords. - Soulhuntre via twhirl
Soulhuntre -- I have a better idea -- why don't you start a 9/11 thread here and see how well you can defend the official story against the questions that have been raised by hundreds of leading professionals in the U.S. and around the world. We could start with funding for the operation and the role of the Pakistani ISI -- are you familiar with that issue? - Sean McBride
Soulhuntre -- what do Reptilian Alien overlords have to do with Pakistani ISI financing of Mohammed Atta and the 9/11 hijackers? Please explain. - Sean McBride
Israel is not under American jurisdiction. Israel will act unilaterally and always has. so does Great Britain and France... America changed it's policy after 911 and if Iran becomes a threat it will change policy again. yes we are not at war with Iran yet. they just shoot missiles at the troops in Iraq and the soldiers are not allowed to do anything about it. America won't attack till the "Commander in Chief" says so. good night... McBride. you are why I won't vote for Obama - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ

Noah - there is no realistic way that Israel can attack Iran without American support, and the American government is strongly opposed to such an attack because it would severely damage American interests. You seem to be implying by your statements that the Bush 43 is antisemitic because it doesn't share your agenda on Israel. - Sean McBride
not at all. I didn't vote for Bush for that exact reason that I am not sure where Bush is coming from. I have been very impressed with Bush's loyalty to Israel, but I know the Baker element of the Bush family is not Israel friendly. Bush has been a pleasant surprise so far. McCain is different. he has always been a friend of my peeps. but you are incorrect. Israel can do as it pleases. It just so happens that America and Israel are great friends, but Israel is not America's serf and vice versa. - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
The job of American presidents is not to be loyal to Israel but to be loyal to the United States. Most Americans place loyalty to their own country far above loyalty to any other countries, as, understandably, do the citizens of all other nations. When Jonathan Pollard and Larry Franklin forgot this basic fact of life, they ended up in prison. America's relations with European, Arab and Muslim nations are at least as as important as its relations with Israel -- perhaps more important in some cases. Some pro-Israel activists seem to have psychological boundary problems on this issue. - Sean McBride
Noah -- there is no practical military way that Israel can attack Iran without American approval and support. Ask any Israeli military expert about the problems involved in such an attack. - Sean McBride
http://www.ariel-sharon-life-s... if I remember correctly with international condemnation (including US criticism). Israel attacked Iraq when it tried to build a nuclear power plant in 1981. today we thank Israel for its unilateral action. They did it without US support before and they will do it again. they already proved that they can, will and are not afraid. the fact is the US knows this. and they can't do a thing about it. not a good idea to fuck around with a country with it's back to the wall & has the defenses of a superpower. - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
The circumstances regarding Osirak are radically different from the current situation in Iran -- read some military papers on the subject, by Israelis and Americans. Can you find a single high-level Israeli military figure who believes that an Israeli attack on Iran is feasible against the opposition of the United States? Do you understand the logistical problems, not to mention the political problems? - Sean McBride
oh boy McCain is an embarrassment to our Elected Officials in government...wow! - Susan Beebe (Santa Claus)
Susan -- McCain's handlers and advisers are pulling their hair out over his public performances. He's a loose cannon. They can't educate his mind or control his mouth. - Sean McBride
Sean if Israel needs to bomb Iran, it does not need American permission! That is a fact! - Igor The Troll
But at the same time! I do not want Iran American war! I want all the 160k troops to go back home to America! Enough 160 usd barrel oil prices. - Igor The Troll
Igor -- it's got nothing to do with permission. It's got everything to do with the practical ability to complete the mission successfully, as a win, not a loss. - Sean McBride
I think Israel won the 7 days war without American help! Israel bombed Iraq without American help. We do not need America! But for some reason America needs us! - Igor The Troll
Sean what is lacking from your argument is the details. I also would like to know which high level Israeli or American figure I could get to talk to a freak who thinks 911 is conspiracy? I can't believe I am wasting my time with you anymore. Everyone knows Israel has the strategic advantage and can do anything it fucking wants without US approval. I doubt you would be so afraid if they didn't have the guns. Israel plays nice sometimes, but if given an existential threat she will press the button. - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Sean America spent what more than half a century in the region. What did it accomplish? Arab people are our brothers. When I travel Muslim countries they do not hate Israelis but they hate Americans. You tell me? - Igor The Troll
you are such numbskulls that your analysis of McCain only precludes me to believe the opposite. Sean... I have proven you wrong... I believe you are trying to get me to say things that scare people, but only a fool would think that Israel didn't have a first class military defense system. John is the candidate that has come to the realization that Israel is America's ally and will do what is best for both countries. - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
No Noah I would like to see America get its nose out of the middle east! America made Sadam, khamenei, Kadafi! These are all American creations! America comes to Iraq to give freedom! What freedom and to whom? America needs to take care of America. There is a lot of injustice, poverty, crime, bad health care! But America only wants to be world's policeman. I do not like McCain, but he will do his job! Obama, what will he do? Promise everything deliver nothing. - Igor The Troll
Noah - everyone knows that 9/11 was a conspiracy -- the question is, precisely what kind of conspiracy? What are the details? We still don't know, and many high-level American government officials are determined to get to the bottom of the story. Not even the leaders of the 9/11 official commission are satisfied with results of their report. With regard to the rest: thank God many Israeli leaders are better informed about military affairs than you are. They are in no hurry to attack Iran, for a variety of logistical and political reasons. - Sean McBride
You have 160k soldiers in Iraq, what you just put them on a plane and bring them back home? LOL They will be on welfare and out of work when they come home. America brought them to Iraq! Now try to bring them back! - Igor The Troll
I love the fact that a 911 nut is deciding what is intelligent in this debate. this is like arguing with a "Creationist" who takess the bible in literal form. I can't argue with people who only exist in their own axiums. Where are you from Sean McBride? you have never answered this question. My community saw 911... it wasn't CNN. It was real for NY - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
@Igor: If you want to see America get its nose out of the middle east you're backing the wrong candidate. McCain is willing to be there 100 years and clearly would be pleased as punch to get in a scrap with Iran. - AJ Kohn
Noah - with regard to 9/11, see if you can get into a useful dialogue with some of the hundreds of respected professionals here http://patriotsquestion911.com... Check out their affiliations, credentials and comments. You might start with the issue of Pakistani ISI funding of Mohammed Atta and the hijackers or the 9/11 anthrax attacks -- quite fertile topics in 9/11 research. - Sean McBride
AJ how do you disengage from the middle east? You think Obama knows diplomacy? I know he knows how to denounce and how to kiss ass! - Igor The Troll
AJ America is still in Japan! 70 years latter! - Igor The Troll
You guys sent Bush to Iraq now you have to deal with it. You could have stopped the Iraq war, but you did not! War is serious business. If you carry a gun, damn make sure you ready to use it. - Igor The Troll
I doubt Obama if elected will bring the troops home! But he will not do a good job at having theme there. Bringing the troops home will not be geopolitically possible. - Igor The Troll
Sean, if you ask me the CIA did 9/11 Bush did 9/11 but can anyone prove it? No! Topic closed! Oh Osama worked for CIA! Probably still does! - Igor The Troll
Igor.. you are all over the place now. Osama did work for the CIA. so did Hussein and every other enemy our country had from the 20th century. I was friends with Amanda Chapel on facebook before she became enemy number 1. Sean I am still waiting for your answer to my question that I have asked repeatedly. you are not dialoging in good faith by avoiding the issue that your so called experts were not witnesses that half of NY were. where are you from Sean? ANSWER ME THAT QUESTION - Ⓝ〄ⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂ〄Ⓝ
Igor -- you occasionally think outside the box and surprise one -- that's a good thing. You aren't so easy to pigeonhole. OBL may well have been a Western intelligence asset -- a case can be made for that. I tend to doubt, however, that CIA had much to do with 9/11, for one main reason: CIA has been unenthusiastic about the policies and wars for which 9/11 has been used as a pretext. Where's the motive? That doesn't add up. If you really want to get a handle on these controversies, I recommend reading David Ray Griffin's books -- he's very sober and factual, not a conspiracy theorist. He's simply trying to put all the known facts in order. - Sean McBride
Sean, why you have to be surprised? I am not Dave Winer with a "Comcast" truck parked outside. I am not Robert Scoble Spamming iPhone or Seagate! I am for nothing else here but to share my life experiences and make a few friends. I guess am using Social Media for what it really meant to be! Ok I have my fun busting a few myths who maybe something or maybe not! But I do not chase cars, I bark at them occasionally for good measure! LMAO - Igor The Troll
Noah, wake up, America is not the land of the free and the country of the brave, it is just corrupt like any other regime, but it does in the name of democracy! Please learn how many wars and revolutions all over the world have been sponsored by USA! Stop pretending that America is a sacred virgin on a pedestal. She is not, neither is the State of Israel for that measure! We all have or ghosts! - Igor The Troll
I really do not care who made 9/11 happened know it, will not help us be better men! The Amanda Chapel on Face Book is not the same Amanda Chapel on Twitter! Anyway "she" is being detained temporarily being that she blew her cover for some anonymous Dude like me! ROFLMAO - Igor The Troll
