two things; 1. It is obvious to anyone who's had and lyrical training that the actress did not sing this piece in shot. This means it was prerecorded. Bollywood has a long standing tradition of using singers and actresses separately. 2. What happened to bollywood women? Gina: You are of course right in your point 1. All song picturizations in Hindi movies use lip-sync to an already recorded version, which again is almost always sung by another singer and not the actor. As for your question in #2, even though I don't think your observation is entirely true, you are spot on about Geeta Bali, the actress in the song. She was way ahead of her times. - Vinay | विनय

The movie is not great but I am biased to the actress - Waheeda Rehman - partly because she is my mom's favourite dancer and I have seen her dances since forever, partly because she is a brilliant actress and partly cause she is gorgeous. They removed ALL the trees from my street about 4 years ago and I wasn't happy in the least bit about it. ugh. she looks far better airbrushed. on the cover, she looks awake. in the original, she looks like she didn't sleep after doing shots of tequila. that ain't sexy. and if she had put the curve in her back, the original shot would be more model-esque. the original looks like a bad glamour shot. i think her body size in the original is fine. and her face looks too thin on the cover. but if the choice is between awake and hungover ... - tiffany
