""... Motorola will open a new office in Seattle "in order to work closely with Microsoft to deliver differentiation" via the Windows Mobile platform, he said. Motorola expects to release a phone based on Windows Mobile 6.5 platform in the second half of 2009, and an Android-based device for the 2009 holiday season... 'Windows Mobile 6 has not delivered the experience that I think Apple has been able to deliver, but as you look at the plan that is Windows Mobile 7 and even 6.5, I think there are significant new added features which will help the platform,' Jha said."" - Kathleen Anderson via Bookmarklet

This is one of the most hated features of Windows Vista. But this is a really interesting summary of the UAC feature and look at how many applications are running on Windows (770,000+). Wild. - Robert Scoble
I can't really see why UAC is so annoying? At first it disturbed me, but I have become friend with it. Sureley it can be tweaked somewhat (Ed Bott has some nice tweaks you can do already in Vista). Am I the only one? - Wictor Wilén
@Wictor I think so too - Marcel Janus
I wrote an article about this a few days ago http://www.wictorwilen.se/Post... - Wictor Wilén
I find it ironic that people hate the UAC and the pop-ups to enter the admin password for certain tasks when that's essentially what Linux does for anyone not running as root... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
I use tweakUAC to control it, makes life much easier http://www.tweak-uac.com/home/ - clarke thomas
I think UAC is something that can be good for the general end user; but the advanced user it's a PIA. It could be tweaked better; so that known (safe) files would run without being prompted from the start. (like IE, Firefox, Outlook, etc) - clarke thomas
@clarke thomas: why are you running IE under elevated privilegies? - Wictor Wilén

“Does anyone know of a downloadable Friendfeed app for Windows Mobile. The iphone interface and fftogo just don't render well enough.”

What device are you using? My Moto Q9c renders fftogo very well. I'd love to get fftogo working well for you. - Benjamin Golub
I am using an XV6900 (HTC Touch) I can use Opera but I hate opening it and IE has many bugs. I also like the alerts and just availability of a downloadable app like I have for twitter. - Sweyn
So it works with Opera but not IE? Or it works in both but you don't like using them? - Benjamin Golub
It works in Opera but not IE. FFToGo works in NetFront so I am deciding if I should use FFToGo in NetFront or the iPhone interface in Opera. - Sweyn
Odd. Works great on my q9c in IE. Using it right now. - Benjamin Golub via fftogo
fftogo works perfect on my touch pro, facebook works fine but starts a bit zoomed in when using opera 9.5 - Wictor Wilén via fftogo
I've decided to use the iPhone interface in Opera Mobile but I still want a downloadable Windows Mobile app. - Sweyn
I have no issues with fftogo on my Mogul in PIE. Haven't tried the iPhone interface. - MiɳiMagɘ is EnderMage
