“Does anyone use desktop apps to monitor/post to FriendFeed, or do you just use the website? Tried Feedalizr and hated it. About to try AlertThingy...”
I like using the website, but I wish there were a native iPhone app sometimes. I'm trying out TweetDeck for Twitter, and it seems pretty nice. It would be nice to have something similar for FF. I use the FF IM bot + Growl on my Macbook to monitor, but a desktop client could be useful if implemented well. - Cheryl Jones
@Outsanity: Thanks. I tried to launch AlertThingy, but it crashes upon startup... Perhaps because TweetDeck is open? I'm not sure why, but so far that doesn't bode well for it. :P - Cheryl Jones
@Helen: I've been looking at AIR apps; you might be able to try the AIR apps on your Linux box, if you're interested, but it seems like right now none are that useful compared to just using the website... - Cheryl Jones
Web site, I'm hoping to find, at some point, a firefox add that will let me post to FF. I've got one that will do twitter, but I want to use FF more. - Grant Bierman
Hmmm...I had problems with AIR in the past, but I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10. So I may try again. Thanks! - Helen Sventitsky
Hi Cheryl, any chance you can share what you didn't like about feedalizr, any feedback helps us improve our service, would appreciate it, you can pop us a mail to feedme@feedalizr.com or just reply here. Thanks - Leezl Kaschula
how often do you switch your main phone? wasn't there a comment similar on how you were gong t o swtich to the g1 and then decided not to - Jonathan Jesse
Robert, can you ask why Nokia keeps insisting on leaving out North American 3G every time it launches a phone, and then adding it back in later? Surely it's not that expensive. - Jonathan Fingas
Jonathan, we've been asking that. It's not just expense but ability to get enough devices built. Remember the iPhone was rolled out over months too worldwide. - Robert Scoble

Did it change camera views after it finished? I could of sworn is it was off to one side watching live, then replay and its in front.. If not, im going mad. - Simon Wicks
Simon: I started out off to side then moved my computer to table in front of him. - Robert Scoble
Just me going mad then. That whole video is filmed from right in front of him, thought the live one was off to one side. - Simon Wicks
"G-Rock: I didn’t realize that you can upgrade your camera with a software upgrade. I really need to show you the difference in picture quality between Nokia devices and the iPhone again. It’s pretty extreme. But, you should read my post from Monday. I made exactly your point." - Robert Scoble
The camera on the iphone is indeed shocking.. I get better quality out of my 2 year old treo 750 than I do with my iphone! - alphaxion
Okay that WAS worth waiting for. Are these features transferable to other social media? I was so convinced I wanted an iphone... How do other features compare? - Alistair
From Robert's description it sounds like the previously leaked pictures are fake http://tr.im/1pyp - Graeme Shaw
Does it sound good? Hell yeah! But does it address the enterprise user? Oh Shoot! Will it cause a churn in the customer bases? Ummm... Honestly, who *really* understands consumer psychology? - Parth Awasthi
When Crystal tells me that my old account is found/intact I'm having a party. Curiosity is killing me. I think I'll have it back soon ;) - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
manuscrypts. Awesome links, thanks! Just found "Kakuteru" too (which is an open source Ruby on Rails rip off of sweetcron). Weaving of semantically marked up "life stream" posts will be the future of online conversation. And it with a little luck, we can share it all p2p... - Mason Lee
I tried to import scobleizer on storytlr.com (i'm the developer), but it seems that the limit of 3200 tweets is a hard limit coming from the twitter API (at least with unauthenticated request). I wonder why twitter imposes this limit. Does it mean that anyone with more than 3200 tweets has effectively lost access to his tweets ? Another good reason to use a service like storytlr to keep a backup of your tweets :-) - Eschnou
at 3172 thats not good news :| swurl is my only hope now!! @eschnou storytlr can't be self hosted yet, right? but hey, still like it :) - manuscrypts
